Station Between the Clouds
In a quiet recess of the mountain, out of season, the old chairlift station stands like a rusty sentinel. Above, a dramatic sky, heavy with storm clouds, portends rain and casts a heavy shadow over the landscape. But in the distance, like a promise, a last ray of sunlight penetrates, bathing a hill in a golden, almost unreal light. It is a picture of contrasts: between the melancholy of waiting and the beauty of a fleeting moment, between the overwhelming power of nature and the imprint of man left behind.
