Stone Fantasy
This low angle accentuates all that beautiful architectural chaos in Coppedè. The buildings seem to lean towards each other to whisper stories of fairies and stone monsters to you. The strong contrast with the sky and those fluffy clouds gives it an old movie feel, transforming the neighborhood into a fairytale setting where you can easily get lost in the sights.
Spirit of the Stone
I chose to capture the cathedral in black and white because I felt that the shades of gray bring out the old texture of the stone much better than any color. It's an image of solidity and tranquility. I love how the rigid lines of the architecture are lost in that dense sky, giving the impression that the edifice is not just a building, but a presence that has been watching over the city for generations. It's that moment of monumental silence that makes you stop in your tracks for a moment.
Destination
I was drawn to the perfect geometry of this frame, where the cold lines of the metal seem to dictate the direction. I love how the two silhouettes, although going in different directions, become part of the same urban mechanism. It is an image about our daily journeys, about the effort of climbing and about those moments when we are alone among many others, each with their own destination in mind.
Into the Depths
You're not just looking at a forest, you're looking deep into it. The fog blurs the boundary between land and air, and the tall trees seem to watch over a descent in absolute silence, far from the noise of the world above.
Geometry of Time
The forest has become a huge sundial. Each long shadow cast on the pristine snow is not just a dark line, but a second caught in place. I love the mathematical stillness of this landscape, where the light measures, without haste, the age of winter.
